Meet Ian

Thank you for joining me, we have all had a journey that has led us to this point.

I was inspired into hypnotherapy to help family and friends resolve various issues that life had thrown at us.  I am now enjoying giving others the opportunity to be able to get things back on track.

I am a husband and father and like every family we have experienced various bumps in the road through the years, with conventional routes providing coping mechanisms, but not fully giving the solutions to the route of the issue.  Because of this, these issues invariably resurface.

Aside from this, I started out my life in Walthamstow and I am now based in Epping. I enjoy socialising with my family and friends, I enjoy music, karate, walking and nature.  I am also a cancer survivor.

So well done for taking these first steps to resolving whatever issues you are dealing with.

Hypnosis can be the last resort for many, and ironically it is usually the last piece of help you will need.

Let’s get started in getting you back to the best you can be!

Your questions answered:

  • My ethos

I do not believe it is necessary to treat clients as a production line, which is the way many therapists go about things using generic methods.  I believe it is important to understand the goals of each client and to build individually prepared treatment sessions that suit the individual's needs and not the therapists.

  • How many sessions will I need?

Hypnosis is a fast acting therapy.  Some issues can be resolved with one session, but on average 3 sessions is usually the amount required.  However, this is reliant on the engagement of the client to theraputic suggestions and carrying out homework tasks (yes people, you get homework). So it is very much dependent on you.

  • Does hypnotherapy really work?

Yes, Hypnotherapy works with our beliefs, memories, habits, behaviours and self image. Therapeautic techniques tend to work faster in hypnosis as there is less resistance to change when dealing with the subconscious mind.

  • Is it safe?

You are perfectly safe, in fact you are highly focused. There are so many myths surrounding hypnosis, here are a few facts.

You are not asleep, it is not mind control, you cannot be made to do things out of your moral code, You cannot get stuck in hypnosis, it requires dialog to continue.

  • Who is in control?

You are always in complete control, even if an emergency were to occur, you would be able to re-alert yourself without the direction of the hypnotist

  • What if I can't do it?

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis. Everyone can do Hypnosis, even if you don't believe in it, you just have to give yourself permission to accept Hypnosis

  • Can I stop hypnosis whenever I want to?

Yes, Hypnosis is something you do, being guided by the hypnotherapist. So as with anthing you do, you can just stop doing it.

  • How long is a session?

First session is usually an hour and a half which includes a case history. Any subsequent sessions are roughly an hour.

  • Where are sessions held ?

Mainly at my therapy room at the listed address.

Can accommadate online, for certain issues after initial one on one session.

For an extra charge I can visit your home if feasible.
